Noticed a thumping from the rear. Inspected tires, found one inside of tread was worn and had bumps on it. 20k on tires. I'm very disappointed in these general tires but after looking at the tire complaints i now understand, they are poor quality tires. General tire altimax rt195 65r 91 t. *tr

Tires steel belting separation causing the car to shimmy so bad at all speeds wife was afraid to drive home. Examination showed one front had failed at 36000 mile., however we didn't trust any so replaced all four. *jb

Hyundai is equipping these elantras with solus tires which are very substandard all weather tires for traction. Tires constantly slide and loose contact with road surface on wet, dry sandy and snow covered pavement, constantly causing the abs brakes to engage, and causing the vehicle to wander across road surface.
