Hyundai Elantra Horsepower by Year
The Hyundai Elantra’s listed horsepower ranges from 128 to 201 hp across the catalog years 1999-2023. The range reflects differences among model years and versions, so a single figure does not describe every Elantra. Use the catalog entry for the specific year and trim when comparing horsepower, rather than treating the lowest or highest number as typical of the entire lineup.
Horsepower figures describe engine output, not vehicle weight or fuel economy. The numbers can change when the model year or engine version changes, and trims within a year may also differ. The available facts give an overall range for 25 years, but do not identify the rating for each individual year, trim, or engine. Check the relevant year and trim listing for a more specific figure.
If the horsepower rating for your particular Elantra is not listed, confirm it on the door jamb or in the owner's manual. Avoid applying a rating from another year or trim, since the catalog range alone cannot establish which figure matches your vehicle.

The largest stored change occurs between 2017 and 2018, when horsepower increases.
