Steering coupler failure at 30,000 miles. Steering wheel started making clunking noise when turned from side to side while car was in motion and stationary. Called dealer, they stated needs repaired asap, steering wheel could lock and cause accident. Found that this was a well known issue and extended warranties (txx7) were issued on several models. Mine was not included. Cost to repair was $422.26.

When turning the steering wheel in either direction it makes a decent clicking sound has been happening now for over 8 months it seems to only do it while the car is moving even when the car is slowly moving & as well noticed a lot of play in the steering & my steering wheel will not stay aligned with my tires after alignment from hyundai.
